Seasoned financial management professional joins Grant Thornton’s Global Public Sector practice
Jack Reagan adds breadth to firm’s public sector audit capabilities
January 28, 2014 – State and local audit leader Jack Reagan has joined Grant Thornton LLP’s Global Public Sector practice. In alignment with Grant Thornton’s continued commitment to supporting government in answering the call for ever-increasing transparency and accountability, Reagan will bring the breadth and depth of his public sector audit experience to bear across the spectrum of the public sector.
“Jack brings to Grant Thornton more than 25 years of experience providing superior financial management advisory and assurance services to an impressive spectrum of federal, state, and local governments; higher education institutions; and not-for-profit organizations throughout the United States,” said Srikant Sastry, managing principal of Grant Thornton’s Global Public Sector practice. “He has the knowledge and experience our clients increasingly demand and that will undoubtedly grow our already substantial public sector financial management audit practice.”
Reagan, a certified public accountant and certified government financial manager in Virginia, comes to Grant Thornton from the public sector practice of CliftonLarsonAllen LLP. He was previously a partner in the public sector practice at KPMG LLP, where he spent more than 20 years of his career.
“I am proud to join Grant Thornton’s government practice and look forward to contributing to its already strong team of federal, state, and local government auditors,” Reagan said.
Reagan earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting from the University of Richmond’s Robbins School of Business, where he currently sits on the Executive Advisory Council. He is also treasurer of DC Scores, which helps 1,500 low-income D.C. youth at 47 schools improve their fitness levels, develop self-expression and establish deep community connections through service projects.
“One of the things that attracted me to Grant Thornton was its deep commitment to community service,” said Reagan. “The firm, and the children of D.C., will benefit from the addition of DC Scores to its array of community service activities.”
